Sudbury Community

Our commitment to Sudbury goes beyond serving our customers top-notch meals at great prices. As a business, we are part of the community and it’s our responsibility and privilege to contribute to local causes close to our heart.

Our involvement with the Canadian Mental Health Association dates back several years. We have raised thousands of dollars for the Association through a fundraiser we hold every year. One Saturday each March, all of the revenue from our No. 2 Breakfast goes directly to the Sudbury branch.

A similar fundraiser on a Saturday in April sees 25% of supper revenues donated directly to Access Aids, another cause we are proud to support. We also contributed $2,564 to the Terry Fox Run, a recent addition to our work in the community.

We also cook meals for Camp Quality, which puts on a summer camp for children battling cancer. We donate to many churches, playgrounds, legions and the Freedom Riders. The Laurentian Swim Team holds a fundraiser car wash each fall on the property to support its programs. Gloria’s also sponsors a girls hockey team and a basketball team in the Sudbury Youth Basketball League.

We also work with local school boards to take on co-op students, and we work with the March of Dimes, YMCA, Job Connect and the Vocational Centre to help disadvantaged people learn skills that will help them find permanent jobs.

We support local artists by allowing them to display and sell their work on the restaurant walls. In addition to beautifying our place of business, the sale of the artwork provides a source of income for the artists.

Gloria’s is a proud member of our community and we are proud to give back to the city that has given us so much.
